Important: To use these trays on an AutoPilot, you must have 1.5" front seat risers so the trays can clear the battery box under the seat. It is also highly recommended to use rear seat risers as well. Photos below show 1.5" in the front and 2" in the rear. Check out our MK/AP Front Seat Riser System and our MK/AP Rear Seat Riser System.
Please note: This product will not work on MinnKota kayak models.
NOTE: If you want to be able to hold two 3600 tackle boxes, you will need to order TWO tray kits. Most of the photos in this listing show the kayak setup with TWO tray kits.
These trays are designed to improve under seat storage accessibility for Old Town Kayaks. You no longer have to fight with the OEM pocket under the seat to access tackle boxes. These trays can hold 3600 sized tackle boxes facing straight in or 3700 boxes oriented sideways.
Currently offered in three versions for Old Town Kayaks:
- PDL - designed to work with the PDL 106, 120 and 132 models
- Sportsman - designed to work with the Sportsman 106 and 120 paddle kayaks
- AutoPilot - designed to work with the Autopilot models
Included in each tray kit:
- 2 Tray Pieces - Left tray and Right tray to hold ONE tackle box
- 2 Dividers - The dividers can be used to limit have far back the tackle boxes slide
- 2 Mounting Clips & Hardware - These clips are necessary for the trays to be supported across the kayak.
As shown in the video, the clips are the rear of the trays are used to adjust the height that the trays sit off of the kayak floor.
Important: The cross-piece of wood/yardstick going across the back of the trays is not included.
As shown in the video, you will need to provide your own cross-piece. These are designed to work with common yardsticks up to 1/4" thick, 1" aluminum strap up to 1/4" thick or other comparable materials. You can commonly find a yardstick or 1/4" x 1.5" boards for under $2 at the local hardware store. Please reach out if this is an issue and we can work to help find a solution.
If you have a Lowe's nearby, THIS board works very well. May also be available at other stores.
